RAMALLAH, 17 June 2025 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa affirmed that the regional escalation must not detract from the continued aggression by the occupying forces against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem. He underscored the urgent need for intensified international efforts to halt this aggression.

During a telephone call held on Tuesday with British Foreign Secretary David Lammy, Mustafa reviewed the latest regional developments and their particular repercussions on Palestine.

Mustafa stressed the importance of preserving international momentum toward Gaza, emphasizing that focus should not be diverted from ending the war in the Strip, facilitating the entry of humanitarian aid, and reopening crossings.

The Prime Minister also reiterated the necessity of advancing a serious, multilateral political process aimed at achieving a lasting solution, which entails ending the occupation and realizing the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state.
