RAMALLAH, September 27, 2016 (WAFA) – Hanan Ashrawi, member of the Palestine Liberation Organization’s Executive Committee, told a "Telos Group" delegation of 15 American women philanthropists that Israel is destroying chances of peace.
Ashrawi met with the delegation on Monday at her Ramallah office where she led a discussion on “Israel’s systematic and willful efforts to destroy the chances for peace and stability with its unilateral violations of international law and conventions,” according to a statement issued by her office.
She called for “immediate and serious international intervention to end the occupation,” and stressed the importance of all forms of nonviolent resistance of the occupation.
The discussion also focused on the internal situation in Palestine, including the latest developments regarding elections and reconciliation.
Ashrawi answered questions on the revitalization of the political system in Palestine and current and future Palestinian moves in the international arena.
