Israel Denies Workers, Drivers from Qabatiya Entry into Israel

JENIN, February 7, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Sunday confiscated the work permits of Palestinian workers from the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin, and prevented them from crossing al-Jalameh border crossing, near Jenin, to reach their workplaces in Israel.

A number of the workers and drivers told WAFA that, as they were seeking entry into Israel for work, Israeli soldiers manning the aforementioned crossing confiscated their work permits and denied them entry.

To be noted, the Israeli army lifted on Saturday afternoon its three-day blockade of the town of Qabatiya, which was imposed by the army in the aftermath of a fatal shooting and stabbing attack carried out by three of the town’s locals in Jerusalem. The attack claimed the life of an Israeli female soldier and wounded another.
