Israeli Army Detains 10 Palestinian in Hebron, Bethlehem

HEBRON, January 31, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Sunday detained 10 Palestinians from the West Bank districts of Hebron and Bethlehem, according to security sources.

Forces stormed al-Aroub Refugee Camp to the north of Hebron and detained locals Baha’a al-Hamour, 18, and Mohammed Abu Sel, 20, whereas journalist Mahmoud al-Qawasmi, Salah E. al-Mohtasib, and Abdel Hafeth A. al-Mohataseb, were detained in the city of Hebron.

Three other Palestinians from the town of al-Shuyoukh were detained while they were heading to their workplaces inside the preoccupied 1948 land, Israel. They were identified as Mohammed Halayqa, 24, Ismail Halayqa, 21, and a third from al-Iwedat family.

Forces reportedly used tear gas canisters against Palestinian locals at Tareq Bin Zeyyad junction, located near the schools zone  to the south of Hebron city, causing dozens of students to suffocate. They were all treated at the scene.

Meanwhile in Bethlehem, forces detained two Palestinian locals identified as Mohe’e Soman, 18, in central Hebron, and Mohammed Abu Latefeh, 22, from the town of al-Jab’a to the northwest, after raiding and searching their families’ homes.
