HEBRON, January 28, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Thursday detained nine Palestinians from a number of West Bank districts, said the Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS) and a local activist.
Forces detained four Palestinians from Hebron district, two others from Tulkarem district, another from Jerusalem district, another from Bethlehem district and another from Nablus district.
Israeli forces detained four Palestinians from Yatta town, south of Hebron city in the southern West Bank.
WAFA reported on Ratib al-Jabour, a local anti-wall and settlement, identifying them as Jihad Abu Ubaid, 45, Muhammad al-‘Amur, 33, Ribhi Id‘ais, 27, and his brother, Subhi.
During the raid, forces broke into the family houses of Amjad al-Jundi and Eyad Id‘ais, both shot dead by Israeli forces, wrecking havoc inside and forcing the two families outside in the chilly weather.
They also stormed and ransacked the family house of Eyad Id‘ais, who is currently under Israeli administrative detention.
Meanwhile, forces detained two Palestinians from the Tulkarem refugee camp of Nour Shams. They were identified as Thaer Dhiyab, 50, and Faysal Khalifa.
Another Palestinian was detained during predawn raids into Jerusalem district, bringing the total number of Palestinians detained since early morning from Jerusalem to nine, including five minors.
PPS identified the detainee as Fadi Mit‘ib, a minor.
A Palestinian was detained by forces during a predawn raid into the Bethlehem town of Tuqu‘. PPS identified him as Ahmad al-‘Aruj, 23, whose four brothers and brother’s wife, Rabi‘a, were are held in detention.
In the meantime, forces detained a Palestinian from the northern West Bank city of Nablus. He was identified as Muhammad ‘Awada.
These detentions came after forces detained 11 Palestinians, bringing the total number to 20.
