HEBRON, January 17, 2016 (WAFA) – An Israeli settler was Sunday stabbed and declared dead shortly following what Israeli police described as a stabbing attack, which took place in the illegal settlement of Otniel at the entrance of al-Samou’ town south of Hebron.
According to Israeli police sources, the woman who was in her thirties was stabbed multiple times inside her house. Her health condition was described as critical before she succumbed to wounds.
The woman remains unidentified until the moment.
Settlers were ordered to remain inside their homes while the Israeli army set a number of military checkpoints on the roads leading to the southern towns of Hebron in search of the perpetrator.
Earlier Sunday, Israeli army forces arrested a Palestinian girl east of Hebron in the West Bank for carrying a knife.
Initial reports revealed that an Israeli army patrol deployed at the western gate of the illegal settlement of Kiryat Arba arrested a young Palestinian girl identified as 18-year-old Nivin Jabari under the pretext of knife possession.
