RAMALLAH, January 5, 2016 (WAFA) – The
three Palestinian Arabic dailies Tuesday highlighted Israeli authorities’
demolition and sealing off of the home of Alaa Abu Jamal and Bahaa Elayyan in East
Jerusalem neighborhood of Jabal al-Mukaber.
They said Israeli forces demolished
Elayyan's house and sealed off Abu Jamal’s home with cement to make them
uninhabitable, as a form of collective punishment against their families. Both aforementioned
Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces' fire during the ongoing
violent unrest that began in early October 2015.
On a different subject, al-Quds and
al-Hayat al-Jadida said a newly issued official Israeli document uncovered that
the perpetrators of the Duma deadly arson attack left the scene
of the crime about 10 minutes after the Israeli army arrived there.
Al-Quds said Israel's Minister of
Education called for adopting escalating measures against Palestinians in the
pre occupied 1984 land (Israel).
Al-Ayyam and al-Quds said Lebanese
Hezbollah movement said it had detonated a large explosive device beside
Israeli armored vehicles patrolling the disputed Shebaa Farms area on Monday
afternoon.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida said the UN's
special rapporteur in charge of investigating human-rights complaints in the
occupied Palestinian territories has announced his resignation, in the
aftermath of being denied entry into the Palestinian Territory by Israeli
authorities.
Al-Ayyam said Israeli police shot and
injured a Palestinian in Jerusalem, after he allegedly attempted to stab an
Israeli policeman.
