BETHLEHEM, May 7, 2015 (WAFA) – Israeli forces demolished Thursday
afternoon an auto repair facility in al-Khader town to the southwest of
Bethlehem, said a local activist.
Local Coordinator of the Anti-Wall and Settlement Committee Ahmad
Salah told WAFA that an Israeli force, escorting a bulldozers, forced their way
into Um Rukba neighborhood in the southern section of the town, where they
proceeded to demolish an 80-square-meter structure used as an auto repair
facility.
The targeted facility belonged to Jamal al-‘Abed.
To be noted, the demolition took place without any prior notice and
al-‘Abed was not allowed to remove his equipments prior to the demolition.
According to the activist, al-‘Abed received a notice to demolish
his facility six months ago and subsequently assigned a lawyer to file a petition
at an Israeli court against the demolition notice. However, he didn’t receive
any court notification whether his petition was accepted or rejected prior to
the demolition.
