NABLUS, May 5, 2015 (WAFA) – The overall Quantity of Industrial
Production Index (IPI) in Palestine reached 94.86 during March 2015, representing
a decrease of 18.38% compared to the previous month, according to the
Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
It said IPI for March 2015 decreased due to the decrease in the
activity of manufacturing industry by 13.86%, which had a share of 80.56% of
the total industry.
Meanwhile, water and electricity supply, which had a share of
14.85% of the total industry, decreased by 38.58%, while the activity of mining
and quarrying decreased by 12.70% and had a share of 4.59% of the total
industry.
