RAMALLAH,
August 31, 2014 (WAFA) – The three Palestinian Arabic dailies highlighted in
their Sunday issue a 3-stage plan announced by President Mahmoud Abbas to reach
an independent State of Palestine.
Al-Quds:
- President [Abbas]
sets a plan of three stages to reach an independent state.
- Confrontations
[erupt] in al-Tour in Jerusalem, resulting in the injury of three [Israeli] policemen
and the arrest of two Palestinian youths.
- Settlers of Nahal Oz,
[ near Gaza borders] are reluctant to return to their houses at this stage.
- [Hamas deputy chief]
Haniya: what happened in Gaza is a historical battle that will have
[repercussions] in the aftermath.
- Netanyahu: I
withdrew my army from Gaza fearing their killing or arrest.
- Legal expert:
resistance actions are not among the specialties of the International Criminal
Court.
Al-Ayyam:
- Netanyahu and
Ya’alon: Hamas relinquished all its demands and there will be no seaport [in
Gaza].
