JENIN, June 7, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli forces on Sunday evening issued notices ordering the seizure and appropriation of agricultural land in several towns south of Jenin in the occupied West Bank.
Local sources told WAFA that Israeli authorities ordered the takeover of approximately 2,803 dunams of land belonging to the town of Jaba’, south of Jenin, located near the Tarsala settlement outpost, which was recently re-established on lands belonging to the town of Sanur.
The sources added that Israeli authorities also issued orders for the removal of olive trees and vegetation from approximately 126 dunams of land in the town of Raba, citing security considerations.
In the town of Arraba, south of Jenin, Israeli forces issued notices placing approximately 128 dunams of government-owned and privately owned Palestinian land under military control for what were described as military purposes.
Palestinian officials say the measures are part of a broader policy of land confiscation and settlement expansion being implemented by Israeli authorities in Jenin Governorate and throughout the occupied West Bank.
