Palestinian child wounded as Israeli raid on Balata camp continues

NABLUS, June 7, 2026 (WAFA) – A 14-year-old Palestinian child was wounded by Israeli live-fire shrapnel on Sunday evening during an ongoing Israeli military raid on Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that the child sustained shrapnel injuries to the head and was transferred to hospital for medical treatment.

Earlier in the day, Israeli undercover forces infiltrated Balata camp, followed by the arrival of several military vehicles. According to local sources, soldiers raided a commercial shop, detained a number of young men inside, and surrounded a house in the camp.

Israeli forces continued their offensive throughout the day, deploying snipers on rooftops, surrounding and raiding homes, forcing residents to evacuate at least one house, and searching commercial establishments.
