GAZA, May 4, 2026 (WAFA) – Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced on Monday that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Strip has risen to 72,612, and 172,457 wounded since the start of the offensive on October 7, 2023.
The sources explained that Gaza Strip hospitals received two slain people and nine wounded individuals in the past 24 hours.
They noted that the total number of slain people since the ceasefire on October 11 has risen to 832, and the total number of wounded to 2,354, while 767 bodies have been recovered from under the rubble.
The sources indicated that a number of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and rescue teams have been unable to reach them so far.
