DAMASCUS, April 29, 2026 (WAFA) – Vice President Hussein Al Sheikh on Wednesday met Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa in Damascus.
Vice President Al Sheikh stated that they discussed the latest developments in the region and ways to enhance bilateral relations between Palestine and Syria in the interest of the two brotherly peoples.
He added that he conveyed the Palestinian leadership’s firm position in support of Syria’s territorial unity and briefed President al-Sharaa on the latest developments in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem.
The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Palestinian National Council, Rawhi Fattouh, Fatah Central Committee Member, Samir Al-Rifai, chief of Military Intelligence Majed Faraj, and Syrian Foreign Affairs Minister Asaad al-Shaibani.
