NABLUS, October 28, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli forces raided the town of Beita, south of Nablus, on Wednesday morning in preparation for demolishing two homes.
Security sources told WAFA that Israeli military vehicles stormed the town and began forcing residents to evacuate their homes in the western part of Beita ahead of the planned demolition of two houses belonging to Ibrahim Abdul Karim Daoud and Zakaria Mohammed Daoud, both of whom are currently detained.
The sources added that Israeli forces continued their raid on the village of Burin for the second consecutive day, storming and searching homes and turning some into military barracks.
Meanwhile, Samer al-Jamal, director-general of education for southern Nablus, announced that schools would switch to an assignment-based learning system, with in-person classes scheduled to resume next Tuesday.
He said the decision was taken to protect students, teaching staff and administrative personnel while ensuring the continuity of education under the current circumstances.
