RAMALLAH, February 10, 2026 (WAFA) — The Palestinian Cabinet on Tuesday reaffirmed its categorical rejection of the decision issued by the Israeli Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, as well as recent Israeli government decisions, which constitute further illegal steps aimed at obstructing the realization of the Palestinian State through all possible means. These include accelerating settlement expansion, establishing additional military checkpoints, and continuing the withholding of Palestinian clearance revenues, among other measures designed to impose full Israeli sovereignty over occupied Palestinian territory.
The Cabinet instructed all public and private Palestinian institutions not to engage with these Israeli measures and to strictly adhere to Palestinian laws and regulations in force.
It further reiterated its rejection of any infringement on the historical and legal status of Islamic and Christian holy sites, particularly the Israeli occupation authorities’ recent announcement transferring authority over the Ibrahimi Mosque from the Hebron Municipality to the Israeli Civil Administration.
At the opening of the weekly Cabinet session held in Ramallah, Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa said that, “These policies and measures constitute a flagrant violation of international law, international resolutions, and signed agreements, as well as the clearly expressed international will—most recently reflected in the Advisory Opinion of the International Court of Justice and the New York Declaration.”
The Prime Minister stressed that Israeli occupation’s government decisions will not deter the Palestinian people from exercising their legitimate right to realize their independent Palestinian state.
“Under the leadership and guidance of President Mahmoud Abbas, we continue our diplomatic and legal engagements with all international partners to exert pressure to halt these grave measures and practices, in pursuit of justice for our people and the protection of our legitimate rights,” Mustafa said.
Prime Minister Mustafa commended the positions taken by the United Nations, the European Union, Arab and Islamic states, and friendly nations opposing these Israeli policies. He renewed his call for intensified international support to uphold the Palestinian position rejecting these illegal measures and to translate international resolutions into concrete actions that protect the Palestinian people and end historical injustice.
The Prime Minister also reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to strengthening the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, announcing that more than 300 infrastructure projects will be launched tomorrow through the Ministry of Local Government and the Municipal Development and Lending Fund. These projects will benefit 138 local authorities across the West Bank, including projects aimed at addressing the impacts of Israeli occupation’s aggression in several governorates and affected areas.
He further noted that government programs continue— in coordination with international partners— to provide relief and humanitarian assistance to our people in the Gaza Strip. These efforts include the expansion of in-person learning points, now exceeding 600 sites, the completion of water network repairs, rubble removal from vital locations, the enhancement of relief programs, the operation of health points, and the facilitation of medical evacuations for treatment abroad.
The Prime Minister emphasized that determination and resolve will not waver, stressing that confronting these illegal Israeli measures requires collective national action and unity to thwart Israelization and Judaization schemes and attempts to undermine the Palestinian national project.
In light of the Israeli occupation’s continued withholding of Palestinian clearance revenues, the Ministry of Finance is working intensively to ensure the disbursement of a salary payment early next week and prior to the holy month of Ramadan.
The Cabinet also reviewed feedback received from government institutions and the private sector regarding the draft Law on Reducing the Use of Cash, received a detailed briefing on preparatory measures, and—following extensive discussion—approved the draft law in its final reading. The law will now be referred to President Mahmoud Abbas for issuance in accordance with legal procedures.
Additionally, and as part of the Ministry of Health’s plan to localize specialized medical services, the Cabinet approved contracts for specialist physicians in key medical fields, as well as the renewal of contracts for three engineers at the Government Computer Center.
