Israeli forces detain two Palestinians, confiscate money north of Hebron

HEBRON, March 12, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detain two Palestinians and confiscated money during a raid on the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, on Thursday.

Media activist Muhammad Awad told WAFA that Israeli forces stormed Beit Ummar with several military vehicles, deploying in the industrial area, the al-Bayada neighborhood, and the al-Buq’a area. They closed the main road in the town, preventing residents from moving around, and fired tear gas canisters heavily toward homes, causing several residents to suffer from suffocation. They received on-site medical treatment.

The forces also raided several homes after breaking down doors, ransacking them and causing extensive damage to their contents. They then detained Anwar Imad Ikhlil, 28, and Muhammad Sidqi Ikhlil, 27, and confiscated 3,000 shekels from the home of Nael Muhammad Ikhlil.
