RAMALLAH, November 11, 2024 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation forces detained at least 20 Palestinian civilians from the West Bank, including former prisoners, since yesterday evening until Monday morning.
According to the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) and the Palestinian Authority’s Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, the raids took place in Hebron, Ramallah and Al-Bireh, Qalqilya, Nablus, and Jerusalem.
They said in a statement that the occupation forces continue to carry out field investigations during the detention campaigns as well as attacks and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to vandalism and destruction of citizens' homes.
Since the start of the ongoing Israeli aggression in October 2023, over 11,600 Palestinians have been arrested from the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, as part of a broader campaign of collective punishment.
The scale of detentions continues to grow, with many detainees facing lengthy periods of detention without charge or trial, and reports of widespread ill-treatment during detention.
