RAMALLAH, Saturday, December 05, 2020 (WAFA) – The Israeli army killing of a 13-year-old Palestinian boy near Ramallah and the arson at the Church of Gethsemane in Jerusalem by a Jewish fanatic were highlighted on the front page of the three Palestinian Arabic dailies published today.
The papers said that Israeli soldiers shot and killed Ali Abu Alayya in al-Mughayyer village near Ramallah. They said the presidency and the prime minister have condemned the killing.
They also said that Israeli occupation forces have injured dozens of Palestinians in confrontations in various areas of the West Bank.
The three dailies also gave extensive coverage to the arson at the Church of Gethsemane in Jerusalem at the hands of a Jewish fanatic and said that the presidency and the prime minister have condemned the arson.
The coronavirus toll in Palestine, the region and the world was also highlighted on the front page of the three dailies.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida wondered if the Palestinian government is going to impose a total lockdown due to the rise in infections in the West Bank and Gaza and said that this seems very likely as all signs point in that direction.
Al-Quds quoted the Saudi foreign minister saying that the peace agreements with Israel were an important step that prevented Israeli annexation of occupied Palestinian territory.
It quoted the Bahraini foreign minister denying reports that his country will not differentiate between products made in Israel or the illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied territories.
Al-Ayyam daily quoted the Israeli foreign minister advising the Palestinians to return to the negotiating table.
