RAMALLAH, Friday, October 23, 2020 (WAFA) – The Presidency of the State of Palestine expressed today its condemnation and rejection of the Israeli-Sudanese deal on normalizing the relations between the two counties, saying it will take the necessary decisions to protect the legitimate interests and rights of the Palestinian people.

It said in a press statement that the deal was in violation of the Arab League resolutions, the Arab Peace Initiative and the UNSC Resolution 1515.

"No one has the right to speak on behalf of the Palestinian people and the Palestinian cause. The path to a comprehensive and just peace must be based on international law, the resolutions of international legitimacy and the international references," the Presidency stressed.

It said a just peace should "lead to an end of the Israeli occupation of the land of the State of Palestine and the achievement of independence for the Palestinian people in their state with East Jerusalem as its capital on the 1967 borders."
