HEBRON, July 12, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained several Palestinians and physically assaulted them at military checkpoints across Hebron city, south of the occupied West Bank, on Saturday.

WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli soldiers detained a Palestinian woman at Shuhada Street checkpoint while she was returning to her home in the Tel Rumeida neighborhood. In the southern part of Hebron, several other Palestinians were detained and beaten by Israeli soldiers at military checkpoints.

Additionally, Israeli forces raided the town of Idhna, west of Hebron, where they detained several residents and confiscated water tanks belonging to them. The raid was accompanied by the firing of live ammunition and tear gas.

The incident is part of ongoing Israeli military assaults and restrictions across the West Bank, which include arbitrary detentions, home raids, and the targeting of basic civilian rights.
