STOCKHOLM, July 12, 2025 (WAFA) – Hundreds of people took to the streets of Sweden’s capital, Stockholm, on Saturday to protest against the Israeli war crimes and total blockade in Gaza, amid growing public outrage over the humanitarian catastrophe in the besieged enclave.
The demonstration, held in Odenplan Square, was organized by civil society groups who called on the Swedish government to take urgent action to stop the ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza.
Protesters carried signs reading “Children are being killed in Gaza,” “Schools and hospitals are being bombed,” and “Stop the food shortages,” expressing their strong condemnation of the government’s silence in the face of Israel’s military campaign.
Chanting slogans such as “Freedom for Palestine” and “Netanyahu is a murderer,” demonstrators marched from Odenplan toward the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, demanding a firmer stance against Israel’s actions.
