RAMALLAH, August 18, 2013 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah
Sunday signed a $148 million agreement with the US government, represented by
U.S. Consul General Michael Ratney, to support the Palestinian Authority’s
budget.
Hamdallah commended, during the signing ceremony, the US’s constant
support for the Palestinians, stressing that such support contributes to the empowerment
of institutions of the Palestinian state to provide basic services to
Palestinians.
Ratney stressed the US’s commitment to support Palestinians and
their national authority, and the efforts of Hamdallah and his government to
the advancement of state institutions.
He said that such aid is a proof of the US’s commitment to support
the Palestinian economy and people.
