PCBS: CCI Increases by 0.07%

RAMALLAH, September 1, 2010 (WAFA)- Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said, today, that Construction Cost Index (CCI) Increased by 0.07%, and Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) Increased by 0.42%, while Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) Decreased by 0.15%, and Road Cost Index (RCI) Decreased by 0.08% in the West Bank, excluding East Jerusalem in July 2010 Compared with the Previous Month.

The overall Construction Cost Index (CCI) reached 109.31 in July 2010 with an increase of 0.07% compared with the previous month, (December 2007=100), and the overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) reached 102.51 in July 2010 with an increase of 0.42% compared with the previous month, (January 2010=100), while the overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) reached 103.04 in July 2010 with a decrease of 0.15% compared with the previous month, (January 2010=100), and the overall Road Cost Index (RCI) reached 107.50 in July 2010 with a decrease of 0.08% compared with the previous month, said the PCBS.

Analysis of Construction Cost developments for July indicates changes in the following major construction inputs compared with the previous month:

Cement  products

Cutting and shaping stones

+ 0.27%

Cement, lime &gypsum

+ 0.22%

Ceramic products

+ 0.19%

Tiles and panels from ceramic

+ 0.17%

Iron and steel

- 0.94%

Quarries and quarrying products

- 0.15%

 

Analysis of Sewage Networks Cost Index developments for July indicates changes in the cost of the following major Sewage Networks inputs compared with the previous month:

Fountains

+ 0.90%

Plastic and cement pipes

+ 0.51%

Excavations

+ 0.43%

 Asphalt, bitumen mixture and  its products

- 0.81%

Deface materials

- 0.16%

 

Analysis of Water Networks Cost Index developments for July indicates changes in the cost of the following major Water Networks inputs compared with the previous month:

Water Reservoirs

- 0.24%

Iron

- 1.14%

Construction work and paint

+ 0.59%

Excavation

+ 0.43%

Concrete

+ 0.32%

Water Networks

- 0.11%

Asphalt, bitumen mixture and  its products

- 0.81%

Plastic and steel pipes
