Fayyad: Financial Crisis Threatens PNA and Governmnet
CAIRO, May 9, 2007, (WAFA)-Minister of Finance, Dr. Salam Fayyad warned of the danger of severe financial crisis that threatens the Palestinian National Authority and the failure of the national unity government.
Following his meeting with Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Mr. Amr Moussa, Fayyad told reporters that his tour to some of Arab states to exeplain the real dangerous situation on the Palestinian territory due to the scarcity of financial resources and lack of delivery of funds approved by the Arab summit as well as Israel's seizure of Palestinian funds and the continued policy of closure and embargo imposed on the Palestinian people.
"There is no minimum funds to enable the Authority to fulfill its obligations to its people," Fayyad said.
