Israeli Soldiers Arrest 19 Citizens in WB, Bombard Citizens' Houses in GS
TULKAREM, May 8, 2007, (WAFA)-Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested Tuesday morning nineteen citizens in the West Bank(WB) cities of Tulkarem, Jenin and Nablus, security sources said.
They added that Israeli soldiers stormed Tulkarem citizens, conducted a wide search campaign into citizens' houses and arrested fourteen citizens, leading them into an unknown location.
In Jenin, Israeli troops, backed by 15 military vehicles, swept into Kufr Ra'ai town, south west Jenin, launched a search campaign into citizens houses amid intensive fire shooting and arrested four citizens , leading them into an unknown destination as well as spreading a state of fear and panic among women and children, witnesses told WAFA.
In Nablus, a group of Israeli soldiers stormed Nablus city and its neighborhoods amid intensive fire shooting, took positions in King Faisal street and conducted a search campaign under pretext of looking for "wanted". They arrested one citizen and led him into an unknown fate, witnesses said.
In Gaza, Israeli artillery bombarded at pre-dawn the citizens' houses at Um al-Nasser Bedwin village and caused a state of fear and panic among women, mainly children. While Israeli gunboats bombarded citizens' houses on the Gaza seashore, but no injuries were reported.
In the meantime, Israeli warplane bombarded a civil car, north the Gaza Strip, resulting in destroying and burning the car, but no injuries.
