President Abbas: New US Document Contains Significant Steps
GAZA, May 7, 2007 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas said on Monday the new US document contains important elements to restore security in the Palestinian territory, considering it a start to end the suffering of the Palestinian people.
President Abbas said, during his meeting with Fateh leaders in Gaza, that after examining the American document, he found that it has many significant steps.
In this context, President Abbas called on the Israeli government to cooperate with the Palestinian leadership to implement the plan.
