Israeli Troops Storm Jenin, Seize Houses
JENIN, May 6, 2007, (WAFA)- Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) rumbled Sunday into the West Bank city of Jenin and turned several houses into military posts, witnesses and security sources said.
Witnesses said that Israeli soldier stormed several houses and turned them into posts and watch towers as snipers positioned on the roofs and windows.
They added that they opened fire at people who tried to enter or leave the camp while other troops stormed houses and launched a house-to-house search campaign.
Witnesses affirmed that the Israeli death squads (dressed in civil clothes) infiltrated into several houses and positioned inside after assaulting the owners.
Security sources said that at least 15 Israeli armored vehicles moved into Jenin, amid intensive fire, and besieged the camp.
