Executive Committee Condemns Israeli Crime in Jenin
RAMALLAH, May 5, 2007 (WAFA) - Executive Committee of PLO condemned Saturday Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people in West Bank (WB) and Gaza Strip (GS) which led yesterday to the death of three citizens in Jenin city.
During a meeting in Ramallah city headed by President Mahmoud Abbas, EC affirmed that continuation of such Israeli policy would thwart efforts aimed at reaching an inclusive truce.
The Executive Committee affirmed on the necessity to extend international recognizing of Arab peace initiative as a base for the peace process, adding that Quartet committee must be encouraged to launch Palestinian-Israeli peace negotiation in order to reach a just and comprehensive solution for the middle east struggle.
It also urged the Arab states to fulfill its financial obligations towards the Palestinian authority, expressing at the same time deep concern from the deteriorated situation in the occupied territories.
