PPS: Israeli Extends Period of Solitary Confinement against Female Prisoner
TULKAREM, April 25, 2007, (WAFA)-The Israeli military court in al- Ramla prison has extended on Wednesday the period of solitary confinement against a female prisoner for further six months.
Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) said in a press release that all appeals and requests by international Human Rights organizations to remove the prisoner Amna Muna from the isolated cells to save her live was rejected by the Israeli authorities.
The PPS added that Muna had been in the prison since October 2001 and received a life sentence, in addition to 41 years. She lived in complete isolation since last March on eve of events occurred in Telmond jail.
The PPS revealed that Muna is held in a small room near criminals and drug addicted mothers under severe psychological pressure.
