NABLUS, April 7, 2004 (WAFA) - Popualr Services Committees (PSC) condemned Israeli brutal restrictions on UNRWA’s food aid to Gaza Strip Refugee Camps.... In a statement issued Wednesday, PSC stated that Israeli practices aimed at destroying Palestinion people and evicting them from their lands.... Psc also called upon the United Nations and the international committee to interven inorder to stop the unjustified Israeli practices against the Palestinian people.... UNRWA Commissioner-General Mr.Peter Hansen pointed out that the Gaza Strip has been locked into a deep socio-economic crisis resulted from the prolonged and draconian Israeli closure.... He also appealed to the International community to offer humanitarian assisstance inorder to help the Palestinian Refugees, pointing out that almost two out of three households in Gaza live below the poverty line, and more than half of its workforce is unemployed....
