A mother and her child among five civilians killed by Israeli shelling in Gaza

GAZA, June 12, 2025 (WAFA) – Five civilians, including children, were killed early Thursday morning as a result of Israeli shelling of the town of Abasan al-Kabira and the al-Mawasi area, east and west of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Medical sources reported that a woman and her child were killed as a result of Israeli shelling of the town of Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Yunis.

The sources added that the Israeli occupation bombed the tents of displaced persons in the al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Yunis, killing Abdul Wahab Abu Haddaf, his wife, and his son.

Israeli warplanes continued to launch intensive airstrikes, accompanied by heavy artillery shelling, targeting various areas in Khan Yunis. Meanwhile, Israeli forces carried out new bombing operations targeting residential buildings in the eastern areas of Gaza City.

Medical sources reported that 80 citizens were killed and dozens wounded, including 57 food seekers, in the past 24 hours.
