RAMALLAH, Thursday, June 04, 2020 (WAFA) – Israeli forces today detained 19 Palestinians from various parts of the occupied West Bank, said the Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS).
Israeli forces detained five Palestinians in two raids across the northern West Bank district of Qalqilya.
Four of the five detainees were identified as residents of Azzoun town, east of the city, and the other as a resident of Kafr Thulth town, south of the city.
Elsewhere in the northern West Bank, Israeli military raided Iktaba neighborhood, east of Tulkarm city, where soldiers detained a Palestinian man.
Two separate military raids in Dhannaba neighborhood and Tulkarm refugee camp resulted in the detention of two others.
In Ramallah and al-Bireh district, Israeli troops raided Arura village, northwest of Ramallah city, and detained two Palestinians after ransacking their family’s homes. They were identified as undergraduate students in Birzeit University.
In Bethlehem district, soldiers carried out a raid in Beit Sahour city, east of Bethlehem, where they detained one person.
Meanwhile, PPS said Israeli troops detained eight Palestinians from the southern West Bank district of Hebron.
Soldiers conducted a raid in Beit Kahel town, northwest of Hebron, rounding up three of the eight Palestinians.
They also detained two brothers after breaking into their house in al-Arroub refugee camp, north of the city.
The three others were identified as residents of Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron city.
During the raid into the town, Israeli troops ransacked several houses and seized cellular phones.
