NABLUS, Wednesday, March 11, 2020 (WAFA) - Extremist Israeli settlers Wednesday morning assaulted two Palestinian youths in Huwwara town, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, said a settlement watchdog.

Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settlement construction in the northern West Bank, told WAFA that two youths were beaten up by a group of settler in the town, kept on hold by Israeli soldiers before being released and moved to a medical center for treatment.

About two weeks ago, a Palestinian man was injured after he was attacked by Jewish settlers near the village of Burqa, to the north of Nablus.

Israeli settler violence against Palestinians and their property is commonplace in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

It includes arsons of property and mosques, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Between 500,000 and 600,000 Israelis live in Jewish-only settlements across occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank in violation of international law.
