HEBRON, June 23, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces demolished a Palestinian home in the eastern area of Hebron on Tuesday, while also issuing stop-work orders for three houses in the village of Al-Walaja, northwest of Bethlehem.
Local sources said Israeli forces, accompanied by heavy military machinery, demolished a two-story home belonging to local Palestinian citizen Saud Al-Atrash in the village of Qilqis east of Hebron. The 460-square-meter house sheltered two families, including children and elderly residents, who were left homeless following the demolition.
During the demolition, Israeli forces assaulted local residents and fired tear gas canisters, causing several people to suffer from suffocation.
Meanwhile, in Al-Walaja village near Bethlehem, Israeli forces issued stop-work orders for three homes owned by Ibrahim Ali Al-Araj, Ahmad Mohammad Al-Araj, and Maher Nasrallah Al-Amour.
According to Palestinian security sources, the orders were issued on the grounds that the homes lacked Israeli-issued building permits.
