RAMALLAH, June 23, 2026 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas on Tuesday received the credentials of Archbishop Giorgio Lingua as Apostolic Delegate in Jerusalem and representative of the Holy See's mission to the State of Palestine.
The credential presentation ceremony took place at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah and was attended by the President’s Diplomatic Affairs Adviser Majdi Al-Khalidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Varsen Aghabekian, and Commander of the Presidential Guard Maj. Gen. Mohammed Daajna.
During the ceremony, Archbishop Lingua reviewed the guard of honor that had lined up to welcome him.
