RAMALLAH, Wednesday, September 25, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli forces detained early today 17 Palestinians in the West Bank and Jerusalem, including a Palestinian official, a woman and five minors, said the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).
Israeli police detained four Palestinians in the Jerusalem area, including Palestinian Minister of Jerusalem Affairs Fadi Hidmi following a raid at his home. Police also summoned governor of Jerusalem, Adnan Ghaith, to appear before the Israeli intelligence.
Four Palestinians, including a 41-year-old woman teacher and mother identified as Fayrouz Abu Raieh, and two minors aged 13 and 15, were detained in the Hebron area in the south of the West Bank.
A fifth person from the Hebron area town of Dura was detained after soldiers raided his student residence in Birzeit near Ramallah.
Israeli forces detained three people in Nablus, and an 18-year-old from Jenin while he was present at Salem military court.
A 14-year-old minor was detained in Bethlehem, two other minors aged 16 in Qalqilia, and a man in Jericho.
