RAMALLAH, Wednesday, September 25, 2019 (WAFA) - The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings decreased by 0.23% in the West Bank during August compared with July, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
At the level of major groups, the prices of raw materials decreased by 0.37% and rental of equipment decreased by 0.14%. At the same time, labor wages remained stable during August compared with the previous month, it said.
CCI for non-residential buildings also decreased by 0.24% in the West Bank during August compared with July as a result of a decrease by 0.38% in the prices of raw materials and a decrease by 0.10% in rental of equipment. At the same time, labor wages remained stable during August 2019 compared with the previous month.
CCI for skeleton buildings also decrease by 0.43% in the West Bank during August. Rental of equipment decreased by 1.03% and the prices of raw materials decreased by 0.60%, said the PCBS. At the same time, labor wages remained stable.
Meanwhile, the overall Road Cost Index (RCI) increased by 0.18% in the West Bank during August compared with July.
At the level of major groups, the prices of raw materials increased by 0.37%, while rental of equipment decreased by 0.17%, and operating costs of equipment and maintenance slightly decreased by 0.02%. At the same time, labor wages remained stable during August 2019 compared with the previous month.
The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) slightly decreased by 0.01% in the West Bank during August compared with July.
Water Reservoirs Cost Index also decreased by 0.54%, Water Networks Cost Index increased by 0.21% during August, and the overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) increased by 0.07%, said the PCBS.
