NABLUS, Monday, September 23, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli forces stormed archaeological site in the town of Sabastiya to the northwest of Nablus, leading to clashes, said a local official.
Mayor of Sabastia, Mohammed Azzem, said dozens of soldiers raided the site amid the firing of live bullets and tear gas canisters toward residents, provoking residents and leading to clashes.
No injuries or arrests were reported.
The mayor noted that the town has been subjected to repeated attacks and almost daily raids by the Israeli forces and settlers.
