RAMALLAH, Tuesday, September 17, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather today is partially cloudy to clear and fair with a slight rise of temperature which remains seasonal, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Wind is northwesterly to northeasterly and light to moderate with occasional gusts. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 29°C and a low of 18°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 27°C and a low of 17°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 38°C and a low of 25°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 23°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Wednesday’s temperature is set to further rise and approach 4°C above the seasonal average, paving the way to unseasonably relatively hot to hot conditions.

Thursday’s temperature is set to slightly drop by 1°C with unseasonably relatively hot to hot conditions, particularly in the Jordan Valley.

Partially cloudy and fair conditions are expected for Friday with a drop in temperature which becomes seasonal.

PMD warns people against prolonged exposure to direct sunlight on Wednesday and Thursday, especially during the peak hours of the day from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm local time, and against setting fire to areas where dry grass has grown.
