BEIJING, Monday, September 16, 2019 (WAFA) – China called on Israel to exercise prudence, avoid escalating tensions and instability in the region and earnestly uphold the foundation for the Middle East peace process.
China expressed its opposition to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu‘s announcement that he will annex parts of the occupied West Bank if he was re-elected next week.
“China opposes any unilateral action that may escalate the conflict between Israel and Palestine,” said the Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Hua Chunying, during a press conference held at the Chinese ministry’s headquarters.
