Weather: A slight rise in temperature, which remains below average

 

RAMALLAH, Monday, September 16, 2019 (WAFA) – Partially cloudy skies are expected today with a slight rise in temperature, which remains a bit lower than its annual average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Wind is southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate and active at times. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 27°C and a low of 18°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 25°C and a low of 17°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 36°C and a low of 25°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 29°C and a low of 23°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

PMD also said that Tuesday’s weather is expected to be partially cloudy to clear with yet another rise in temperature to become a bit higher than its annual average.

Relatively hot to hot conditions are expected for Wednesday. Temperature is expected to rise becoming 3°C higher than its annual average.

Thursday’s weather continues to be relatively hot to hot, but temperature is expected to slightly drop while remaining 2°C higher than its annual average.

PMD warns people against prolonged exposure to direct sunlight on Wednesday, especially during the peak hours of the day from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm local time, and against setting fire to areas where dry grass has grown.
