RAMALLAH, Sunday, September 15, 2019 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas during a phone call thanked King Salman bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia for his personal stand and the Kingdom‘s support for Palestine in all international forums and at all levels, particularly the kingdom’s call for an extraordinary meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on the level of foreign ministers in Jeddah today.

President Abbas also affirmed his condemnation and rejection of the terrorist attacks which hit two oil facilities in Saudi Arabia.

He affirmed his, and the Palestinian people’s stand in full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the fight against this terrorism, which targets its security, land and the safety of its citizens.

Abbas stressed his absolute confidence that the brothers in Saudi Arabia, led by the King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, are able to counter these attacks And stand against all desperate attempts aimed at the security and stability of the Kingdom.

For his part, king Salman thanked President Mahmoud Abbas for this position, reiterating Saudi Arabia‘s stances in support of the Palestinian people and the Palestinian cause, affirming the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with Jerusalem as its capital.
