RAMALLAH, April 7, 2018 (WAFA) – The Ministry of Information condemned on Saturday the Israeli army killing of Yasser Murtaja, a Palestinian journalist who was shot and fatally injured while covering the Friday events at the Gaza border with Israel.

The ministry demanded in a statement from the United Nations Security Council to implement its 2222 resolution on protection of journalists.

It said that the killing of Murtaja and injury of other journalists will be used to legally pursue Israel in international forums.

It urged the International Federation of Journalists and Reporters without Borders to quickly act to put an end to Israeli killing of Palestinian journalists.
