RAMALLAH, July 23, 2017 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Authority (PA) Sunday reiterated its call for Hamas to immediately respond to President Mahmoud Abbas’ call and hand over all responsibilities of government institutions in Gaza to the consensus government..
Government spokesperson Tariq Rishmawi said Abbas called for unity and urged Hamas to rise above any differences and give priority to national interests instead.
He said the PA will continue to exert all efforts needed to brace the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in Jerusalem through the implementation of the emergency plan approved last Tuesday.
