RAMALLAH, July 23, 2017 (WAFA) – Dozens of Palestinians were injured on Sunday during clashes that broke out with Israeli army forces in the village of Kobar, northwest of the city of Ramallah, the occupied West Bank, local sources said.
Moqbel Barghouti, head of Kobar village council, told WAFA that Israeli soldiers raided the village and razed a road that was previously closes by Israeli forces and re-opened by Palestinians.
Clashes that broke out between Palestinians and Israeli forces resulted in dozens being shot with bullets and others suffering from suffocation due to tear gas bombs, said Barghouti.
He said Israeli soldiers raided dozens of civilian homes and an advertising company in the village and seized its content.
Witnesses added that settlers from the illegal settlement of Halamish settlement set up tents near a military site, northwest of Ramallah.
The situation in Kobar has been escalating since Israeli forces attempted demolishing the family house of Omar al-Abd, the Palestinian who stabbed three Israeli settlers and seriously injured a fourth after breaking into the illegal settlement of Halamish, west of Ramallah.
