Israeli forces detain 11 Palestinians from West Bank, East Jerusalem

JERUSALEM, July 18, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Tuesday detained at least 11 Palestinians during raids across the West Bank and from East Jerusalem, said the Palestine Prisoner’s Society.

Israeli police detained at least three Palestinians from Jerusalem’s Old City, allegedly for taking part in protests against the installation of metal detectors outside Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Israeli forces also detained two Palestinians, including Radwan Qatanani, 27, a journalist, after storming their homes during separate raids into Askar refugee camp and Nablus city in the northern West Bank.

Elsewhere in the northern West Bank, forces conducted a raid into Anabta town, east of Tulkarem, where they detained a 22-year-old fourth-year student in Palestine Technical University (Khadori).

Another Palestinian was detained at Innab military checkpoint near Tulkarem.

Meanwhile, Israeli troops detained two Palestinians while crossing a military roadblock at the main entrance of al-Yamoun town, west of Jenin.

Another Palestinian was detained during a predawn raid into al-Jalazoun refugee camp, north of Ramallah in the central West Bank.

A Palestinian was also detained in Hebron following an army raid of his place of work.
