Israeli forces detain 14 Palestinians from West Bank, Gaza

BETHLEHEM, July 10, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Monday detained 14 Palestinians, including two young minors, and injured others from the West Bank and besieged Gaza Strip, said Palestine Prisoner’s Society and security sources.

Israeli forces broke into and ransacked several homes during a raid that sparked clashes in Deheisheh refugee camp, south of Bethlehem.

Forces reportedly showered the camp with rubber-coated steel bullets and tear gas canisters. No injuries were reported, however, three people were detained.

Meanwhile, Israeli troops detained two Palestinian boys during a raid into al-Judeira village, northwest of Jerusalem.

The 11and 12-year-old minors were reportedly detained while they were playing in front of their family home.

Elsewhere in Jerusalem district, police indiscriminately opened fire at Palestinian homes during a raid that sparked clashes in al-Issawiya, hitting and injuring a 14-year-old minor in his eye.

In Hebron district, Israeli troops conducted multiple raids across the southern West Bank district, detaining three Palestinians after storming their homes.

In the northern West Bank, troops raided al-Jalameh village, northeast of Jenin, detaining two Palestinians after ransacking their homes.

Two other Palestinians were detained during a raid in Qalqiliya city in the northern West Bank.

Separately, two Palestinians were reportedly detained by Israeli forces after they approached the border fence to the east of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
