Landslides south of Aqsa Mosque due to Israeli digging works

JERUSALEM, February 26, 2017 (WAFA) – Palestinians in Silwan Sunday reported on  landslides in the Baydoun neighborhood south of al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem, which were attributed to Israel’s ongoing digging works.

Sources said Silwan is affected by landslides every year due to digging works carried out by Israel south of Al Aqsa Mosque, especially Wadi al-Hilwa Street, causing cracks in buildings and properties.

The digging works are carried out with the support of organizations that promote and finance settlement activities. They are supervised by Israel which aims to obliterate the Arab and Islamic character of city and give is a predominantly Jewish identity.
