JERUSALEM, September 9, 2025 (WAFA) – For the second consecutive day, Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continued their aggression and military siege on towns and villages northwest of occupied Jerusalem.

Local sources said that IOF continued their raids on the town of Biddu and closed its main entrance (the tunnel) connecting it to the town of al-Jib, obstructing the movement of citizens and preventing them from entering or exiting. This is the only main road for approximately 70,000 residents in the area.

The soldiers fired live bullets and sound bombs during their raid into the town, amidst confrontations. They also fired tear gas and live ammunition at hundreds of citizens trapped at the entrance to the tunnel.

The IOF also raided several towns northwest of Jerusalem, carrying out raids and detentions, including heavy tear gas. They raided the town of Qatana and detained a number of young men after raiding a residential building. They also fired tear gas canisters and prevented ambulances from reaching a home.

These forces raided and searched several homes in the town of Al-Qubayba, transforming one of them into a military barracks.

Yesterday morning, Israeli occupation forces closed all entrances to occupied Jerusalem and surrounding villages and towns following a shooting attack that killed and injured a number of Israelis.
